APPAREL BRANDING & PACKAGING PROJECT
The brief was to create a denim brand identity, for Diesel, including pocket design, rivets, buttons, swing tags and pocket labels, in addition to a t-shirt design for the brand.
‘Diesel Women’ is based on history’s greatest women with the idea that each style of jean is attached to a unique female icon that has achieved something remarkable and is as a positive role model for girls and women. I drew colour and typographic inspiration for my designs from the suffragette movement which began in 1903. When women won the right the vote in1928 art deco was a style of the time, so I’ve brought this style in my brand’s typography.
